CDL Licenses Explained
Class A CDL Training
The most advanced CDL available, allowing you to drive trucks capable of towing trailers with a GVWR of 10,000+ pounds. This includes standard 18-wheelers and clears you to drive all vehicles that Class B and C drivers can operate. Essential for interstate driving.
Class B CDL Training
Permits driving vehicles carrying less than 10,000 pounds GVWR with a single-axle trailer, including buses, box trucks, delivery trucks, dump trucks, and passenger vans. Restricted to the state of issue, making it ideal for regional driving careers.
Class C CDL Training
Permits you to drive vehicles with GVWRs of less than 26,001 pounds, vehicles towing other vehicles that weigh less than 10,000 pounds, and vehicles that transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver.
What to Expect in Our 15-Day Intensive Program
Week 1: Classroom
You’ll begin learning the technical aspects of truck driving in our classrooms, including:
- Trip planning
- Recording your driver’s log
- Surveying maps
- Smith systems
- Weight scales legal requirements
- Cargo claims
- Fundamental mechanic abilities
Week 2: Hands-On Training
Under the guidance of an instructor, you’ll operate a full-sized 18-wheeler on our expansive off-road driving range, practicing straight line and offset backing. We’ll also ensure you can perform pre-trip inspections and introduce you to on-road driving in low-traffic scenarios.
Week 3: Advanced Skills & Testing
You’ll hone your technique on both the driving range and highway, including nighttime driving. Once you’ve mastered advanced skills, you’ll take your CDL Driving Skills Test-Highway/Street Testing on-site and graduate ready to begin your career.
